As a part of the change management of the AXON project, the client was very pleased with the outcome of the app and with that confidence wanted us to add online system to monitor progress and give support to the officers learning the new devices.

As the Project Manager, we went through the usual structure, initiation, planning, execution. But decided NOT to go with a third-party system "off the shelf" so to speak, but build a custom system using Angular (front-end) and Laravel (back-end).

The custom code gave us the option to:

  1. Tailored Solutions: Custom code allows developers to create solutions that are specifically tailored to the unique needs and requirements of a project. This flexibility enables developers to address complex business challenges and implement functionalities that may not be available in off-the-shelf software.

This customer portal features: 

  • Certification on each type for the TASER weapon, mandatory preparation for face-to-face qualification
  • Support for users managing the TASER technology on a daily basis
  • Analytics on user workflow within the App, giving us areas to work improve or remove
  • Analytics on where the users are demographics, if their MPS, MET etc.. subscription is being used effectively
  • Automated renewal process for certification
  • Apply governance to each country accordingly to their laws and GDPR
