Content Experience
As a part of my online Manager role at BFBS, I conducted thorough research on sustainable fashion trends, industry standards, and competitor analysis. This research phase was essential for creating content that was not only accurate and informative for our dedicated visitors, mainly the Armed forces personnel, but also positioned the brand as a thought leader in the sustainable fashion space. I gathered data, statistics, and insights that would support the content and add credibility. Additionally, I identified key topics and keywords that would enhance the website's SEO performance, ensuring that the content would be discoverable by search engines and attract organic traffic.
As a starting point, we wanted to introduce the users to the presenters on the BFBS Radio website, by creating clear and plain english biographical content about each presenter, on why they are stationed at the local station, how they got into BFBS Radio, where they previously servicemen themselves or just apart of the armed forces family. With this solid research base, I began the writing process, starting with the core pages of the website, such as the homepage, about us, and product descriptions. Each piece of content was crafted to tell a compelling story, highlighting the brand's commitment to sustainability and the unique value proposition of its products. I used persuasive language and engaging storytelling techniques to capture the audience's interest and drive conversions. For the product descriptions, I focused on providing detailed information about the materials, manufacturing processes, and the environmental impact of each product, aligning with the transparency that consumers expect from sustainable brands.
The final phase involved optimising and publishing the content. I worked closely with the web development team to ensure that the content was visually appealing and well-integrated into the website's design. I also implemented best practices for on-page SEO, such as using meta tags, alt text for images, and internal linking. After the BFBS Radio website went live, I monitored its performance using analytics tools (GT Metrix) and gathered feedback from users to make continuous improvements. This iterative process ensured that the content remained relevant, engaging, and effective in achieving the engagement goals. Through this comprehensive approach, I was able to create a robust content strategy that significantly enhanced the website's user experience and brand presence.
As a part of the project management scope, we had to build into the CMS a (moderator) role to check the content for potential errors within the story and if the information was not a security risk to personnel or their families. We simply built module to pass all saved content to be put into moderation for the specific users to pass and publish the content on the website.
Over the years I have mastered a disciplined approach to achieving project success working within teams of multiple PMs, Developers, UI and UX designers, QA testing experts, but also having the autonomy being proactive and able to work alone with or without SMEs (subject matter experts).
